The ANU Korea Update is the University’s flagship annual conference on Korea.

For this year’s conference, the ANU Korea Institute is bringing together academics from all over the world to talk about all things Korea. Esteemed economist Ruediger Frank will deliver the opening keynote and renowned cultural geographer Judy Handeliver the closing keynote.

Spread across two days, the ANU Korea Update 2022 is a public event bringing together key representatives from the academic and policymaking communities to discuss current socio-cultural, political, diplomatic, gender and security issues related to the Korean peninsula.

Attendees can join this year’s conference online via Zoom or in person on campus at The Australian National University.

The program will commence at 4pm on Monday 21 November for a welcome and the opening keynote. On Tuesday 22 November, proceedings will begin at 9am and conclude at 5.30pm.
