Yoshinori Nishizaki is Associate Professor in the Department of Southeast Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to this, he taught in the Department of Political Science at NUS and in the Department of Political and Social Change at the Australian National University.

His book on former Thai Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa was published in 2011 by Cornell University’s Southeast Asian Studies programme. His articles on Thai politics have appeared in Journal of Asian Studies, Modern Asian Studies, and other journals.
