Tim George is a Strategic Advisor at the Australia Pacific Security College at The Australian National University (ANU).

He is a former career diplomat with decades of experience in international affairs and security. Tim assisted the Government of Samoa to develop its National Security Policy (2018) and the Government of Vanuatu to develop its National Security Strategy (2019).

Prior to this, he was the Special Coordinator of the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI) from 2006 to 2009. He has also held senior diplomatic postings across the world, including in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, South America, and the Pacific.
