Roslyn Prinsley is the Head, Strategic Research Initiatives, in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Innovation at the Australian National University.
Before taking up this position, she was a Senior Adviser to the federal Department of Education and Training. She was previously the National Adviser for Science and Mathematics Education and Industry in the Office of the Chief Scientist. Prior to this appointment, she was Principal Strategic Consultant with Sinclair Knight Merz. Earlier in her career, she held a number of senior positions at the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation, most recently as General Manager, New and Emerging Industries. Roslyn chaired a range of Research Advisory Committees and was also Chair of Bioenergy Australia, an alliance of 80 businesses, research, government, and industry organisations. Upon completing her PhD, Roslyn was the manager of the Agricultural Sciences Program for the Commonwealth Science Adviser to the Commonwealth Secretary-General in the UK.
Roslyn holds a Bachelor of Science, a Diploma of Education (Science), a PhD in photosynthesis, and a Masters in Intellectual Property Law and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has published over 90 books and reports. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Maths Pathway.
