Olivia Boyd

Olivia Boyd is a researcher at The Australian National University’s Crawford School of Public Policy and the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs. She specialises in energy markets and climate change policy, with a particular focus on China and North Asia. Olivia has also contributed to research examining China’s non-traditional security issues.

In addition to her role at ANU, Olivia has worked as an energy analyst at IHS, one of the world’s largest industry research corporations, as an analyst examining political, regulatory and operational risk in oil, gas and power markets across East Asia. Olivia has also worked in the corporate strategy department of Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology, one of China’s largest wind turbine manufacturers.

Olivia speaks and reads Mandarin Chinese and holds a Master of Arts in Asian Studies from The Australian National University.
