Marty Harris works at the National Security College at the Australian National University, providing research support to the Head of College.

He previously worked as a foreign policy adviser to the Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, a senior researcher at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Library, and a research associate at the Lowy Institute for International Policy.

He holds a Bachelor of International Relations (first class honours) from La Trobe University and a Master of Arts (first class honours; Middle East and Central Asian Studies) from ANU.
