Laura is the Research Associate for the Inaugural Judith Neilson Chair in Architecture where she is supporting research in urbanisation, disaster risk reduction and marginalisation both Internationally and in Australia. Laura has over 12 years experience working for International NGOs in project management, advocacy and research across the international development and humanitarian sectors. An MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London supports this practical experience. Laura has a specific interest in rights based approaches, gender and disaster risk reduction. She has previously worked at UNSW managing a multidisciplinary research initiative which addressed the intersection between health, human rights and development.
