Kyle Pope

Kyle Pope is an M.A. Political Science candidate at the Academy of Korean Studies and Korea policy analyst at consultancy Future Risk. Recent research projects include domestic policy debate in China and Korea over THAAD, and North Korean media’s coverage of inter-Korean summits.

A resident of the Republic of Korea for a decade, Kyle researches South Korean domestic politics, international relations of the Korean peninsula and contemporary South Korean society. He has worked previously for Yonsei University Foreign Language Institute, Seoul National University of Education International Language Institute, the Arirang Research Institute, and Hyundai Motor Company.

Kyle holds an M.A. East Asian Studies from Sejong University and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Cape Town.
