Dr Himangana Gupta is a Research Fellow and Academic Associate at the United Nations University Institute for Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS). She is also a Climate Adaptation Finance Fellow of the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany.

Prior to joining UNU-IAS, she was a part of the National Communication Cell (NATCOM) of the Indian Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. She contributed to India’s Second Biennial Update Report and several other publications of the ministry.

She has a doctorate in environmental science with a specialisation in climate change and biodiversity policy.
