Habib Zafarullah

Dr Habib Zafarullah has a PhD from the University of Sydney. He was a Professor of Public Administration at the University of Dhaka (Bangladesh) and Chair of the Public Policy Program at the University of New England (UNE) in Australia. He currently teaches Social Policy and International Development in the Division of Sociology at UNE.

His research interests are in democratic governance, public policy, international development and public management. He has authored/edited several books and published numerous book chapters and refereed articles. Some of his titles include: Colonial Bureaucracies: Politics of Administrative Reform in Nineteenth Century Australia (Universal-2014); Managing Development in a Globalized World: Concepts, Processes, Institutions (CRC Press-2012) with A.S. Huque; The Bureaucratic Ascendancy: Public Administration in Bangladesh—The First Three Decades (South Asia-2005) with M.M.Khan; and International Development Governance (CRC Press-2006) with A.S.Huque.
