Daniel Evans is a PhD candidate at the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, Australian National University, and spent 8 years living and working in Solomon Islands during the period of the RAMSI mission.

Daniel has had a long-term association with Melanesia, having previously lived and worked in Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. His past roles have spanned criminal law, legal sociology, judicial system reform and project design and implementation. He has worked on a number of bilateral aid projects as well as with the World Bank and the United Nations.

Daniel is now studying full-time towards a PhD with the State, Society, Governance & Melanesia (SSGM) centre at the Coral Bell School, having commenced in April 2015.
