Anh Nguyen Dang is senior researcher and professor at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences where he serves as the Vice-President and Director, Institute of Sociology.
He holds a PhD degree in Sociology from Brown University (USA). Prof Anh’s research interests focus on human migration and development, including migration as an adaptation in response to environmental and climate change. In recent years, he has been involved in designing the Green growth strategy for the Government of Vietnam.
Over the last years, he has linked and extended professional networks to other countries in Southeast Asia and the Mekong sub-region. Prof Anh participates and coordinates a wide range of research activities dealing with social development.
He is also a guest lecture at the National University of Hanoi, the National Political Academy of Ho Chi Minh and the Hanoi School of Public Health.
